Priscilla Bell
Priscilla Bell is an artist and an educator who was born and raised in North Philadelphia. She has worked in education even before she was granted her BFA from Moore College of Art and Design in 2000. After a few years as an Art Teacher at various Philadelphia after-school programs, Priscilla then became involved with the Mural Arts Program in Philadelphia for several years, where she worked as a Lead Instructor for both the Big Picture and the ArtWorks! Programs. Presently, Priscilla is the Assistant Director of AKWD Preschool, an all Arts inclusive school located in Northern Liberties. "Without creative freedom, a child’s potential may never been fully realized and this does not only hurt the student but society as a whole. The Arts allow children to express themselves in ways that they may otherwise find difficult. As a teacher, I utilize the Arts to try and help my students better understand who they are and the environment that surrounds them." - Priscilla Bell
